Shop to Watch: Temporary; Secretary
I’ve always wondered how people find amazing things on sites such as eBay, Etsy and Big Cartel. I never know what to type in “search” so I usually try my luck with “vintage top” or “pretty necklace” which regurgitates out over 2000 items to flick through. Definitely not fun, especially after the 10th page and you still haven’t found anything decent....

Event: Fashion Forward Festival
One of the greatest joys I receive from blogging is discovering aspiring fashion designers with fresh talent. So, I’m very excited to be attending the VIP launch of Fashion Forward Festival in Sydney next week. Hosted by the Fashion Foundation of Australia (FFA), this event aims to celebrate independent fashion, providing a platform for new designers to showcase their work to media,...

Event: Being Born Again Couture Fashion Show
As you all would have recalled, I posted earlier about the Being born again couture fashion show, here. Well I had the honors of attending the event last night and to say it was utterly amazing, would probably do no justice to the whole event. The event space was completely unique, set in the cell block theater of the National Art School (which was once a gaol believe it or not) the structure, the...

Her current S/S10 collection “Morocco” truly takes us on a journey of all things exotic and flamboyant. She uses unconventional fabrics such as hand painted silks, silk...

DIY: Karen Walker Striped Dress
It’s no secret, I love stripes. So I decided to try making myself a dress, inspired by Karen Walker. I used a soft jersey only cause I prefer it for draping. I added my own twist by making the dress a v-neck rather than a boat neck, I let the back drape and I also attempted to make the hem lines uneven so the back would be slighter longer. All finished, in perfect timing to wear...
