Designer to Watch: Clarissa Labin

Clarissa Labin has come a long way from her early days designing at H&M for the Trend Department. Venturing out on her own, her Spring/Summer 2011 collection is her second self-labeled collection that’s got us wanting every single piece. Having specialized in knitwear and jersey for several years, she adds her own signature details using leather, unique textures and surfaces to create edgy yet wearable garments. Labin is clearly not afraid of experimenting with color, shapes and prints; turning high fashion runway trends into wearable garments for the daring individual. She cleverly uses soft fabrics that enhance the body without restricting the wearer; abstract color combination’s carefully printed on structured knits emphasize the bold yet feminine style of the brand.
