Clarissa Labin has come a long way from her early days designing at H&M for the Trend Department. Venturing out on her own, her Spring/Summer 2011 collection is her second self-labeled collection that’s got us wanting every single piece. Having specialized in knitwear and jersey for several years, she adds her own signature details using leather, unique textures and surfaces to create edgy yet wearable garments. Labin is clearly not afraid of experimenting with color, shapes and prints; turning high fashion runway trends into wearable garments for the daring individual. She cleverly uses soft fabrics that enhance the body without restricting the wearer; abstract color combination’s carefully printed on structured knits emphasize the bold yet feminine style of the brand.

Sass & Bide showcased their AW11 Collection earlier in the week at London Fashion Week, and the whole collection was filled with bold corals and electric magenta’s in fluttery solid silks, tie-dyes and woven belts. It’s about different cultures, different textures, and mediums all coming together,” said Middleton. Undoubtedly this was one of our favorite Fall collections. With the amount of color and beautiful textures; the crafty design details, unique prints, voluminous skirts and slinky goddess like dresses were truly unique and took us to a beautiful place that left us in awe.

We’ve just heard that the Olsen twins’ designer label The Row is teaming up with TOMS to create a new luxe version of Tom’s signature slip-ons. The new line of shoes will be constructed from Italian sourced wool and cashmere; with prices ranging from $98 to $150. Also, for each pair of shoes bought, a child in need will receive a new pair of shoes as part of the Mycoskie’s charity mission.

LA based brand, ELKIN was created by sisters Kara and Brit Smith; with their talent and design creativity, they have managed to create a distinct label that brings forth the perfect blend of ‘wearable intimates.’ Garments are functional enough to be worn alone, yet specifically designed to encourage the wearer to embrace the art of layering. What drew us to their current collection was the unmistakable dark and mysterious aesthetic that is contradicted with the materials used, oozing a sense of sensuality and femininity.

To celebrate their love for reading, each season they base their collection of different literary genres, and for each Elkin piece sold, one book is donated to H.O.P.E, a non-profit campaign bringing art to places in need, while promoting education and peace around the world.
